Yesterday I read this book called Blind Side. It’s by Michael Lewis, the guy who wrote Moneyball. In that book, he wrote about baseball. This time, he takes a look at football. I had been planning go for a bike ride yesterday afternoon, but instead I kept reading. Couldn’t put it down!
Besides being an absorbing story that chronicles Michael Oher’s life from homelessness to NFL prospect, the book also describes how football evolved from a run-oriented offense to its current passing style. The book also tells of how Lawrence Taylor’s QB sacking awesomeness resulted in the lineman responsible for protecting the quarterback’s blind side becoming the most important player in the offense.
